Using any modern web browser, you can setup user accounts, Apache, DNS, file sharing and much more. Webmin removes the need to manually edit Unix configuration files like /etc/passwd, and lets you manage a system from the console or remotely. Install Webmin (Successfully tested/configured on Ubuntu server 10.04) #sudo aptitude safe-upgrade #sudo aptitude update #sudo mkdir downloads #cd downloads #sudo wget http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/webadmin/webmin/1.510/webmin_1.510-2_all.deb?use_mirror=cdnetworks-us-1 or #sudo wget http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/webadmin/webmin/1.510/webmin_1.510-2_all.deb?use_mirror=kent #sudo dpkg -i webmin_1.510-2_all.deb #sudo aptitude -f install =>>You can access the Ubuntu machine from a Windows machine via a web browser by typing the address https://yourip:10000or https://core:10000 , here core is the name of my Ubuntu server. ******************************************************** ********************************************************
